Chime in: Do you want Live tiles in Microsoft's 'Andromeda' OS?

Microsoft's next rumored "mobile" device features a new form factor. It'southward not a smartphone, and it's not a tablet. Rumors advise it'll be a combination of both, which means it's non something we've seen earlier.

Equally such, should Microsoft go along to push its Live tile user-interface? Or should the visitor try something else? We believe Andromeda will characteristic Live tiles in some capacity, merely perhaps it's fourth dimension to see that interface evolve a scrap.

Who knows! Tiles are still central to Windows 10 so it would be odd to totally change the feel, especially if it supports any Continuum manner. My guess is it volition exist similar to the mobile carte du jour or desktop tablet mode menu. edit: I see this is in Ask Dan!! My reply remains but perhaps he'll let y'all know his thoughts too!

I personally would love to run into interactive Live tiles, something Microsoft showcased back in 2022. Being able to collaborate with elements inside a Live tile might show very useful on a device designed with a pen-input focus.
